Album — Music Guide

An album can consist of 8–12 songs. Although you have a choice, making your album consist of 12 songs is necessary to maximize its quality and raise sales. It is a type of record released every 112 days. Therefore, you need to prepare somewhat better for an album. As with a single, releasing an album early will cause sales to drop and the increase in power boost to be smaller. The selling price of one album is $15.

Album sales do not require a popularity–fame difference, that is, the condition of a new song, as single sales do. In fact, using songs with higher fame positively affects album sales. The only point you need to pay attention to is that at least one of these 12 songs has popularity above zero. Otherwise, your album will not sell even a single copy. Although I think the ordering of the songs does not matter, my advice is to place your highest-quality song with the highest popularity and fame first. You can also use songs from past singles on your album. If possible, use the highest-quality songs in your repertoire on the album. However, you do not need to release your new and secret songs that have not yet been played merely to raise quality.

The factors affecting album sales:

  • Song quality
  • Recording quality
  • Song popularity (at least one song having popularity above zero)
  • Market shares
  • City fame
  • Album release timing (112-day interval)

Another difference between album and single sales is this: while city fame is more important in single sales, market shares carry the weight in album sales.
