Recording Session — Music Guide

If you want to climb higher in your career, we need to release singles and albums. For this, you must first choose the tracks that will appear on the records, fully rehearse them, and record them.

You can arrange a recording session using the booking assistant or through Songs > Recording Sessions on your artist page. The first property you should look at in the studio where you will record is how high its quality is. The studio’s music genre strength does not affect your recordings, so you can directly prefer the venues at the very top of the quality ranking.

After arranging the recording session, it is time to find a producer. This person can be one of the band members, or you can invite someone from outside as producer. An outside producer will perform better than someone within the band. You can also raise the recording’s performance score by separately inviting the outside producer to participate in your recordings.

The points you need to pay attention to when recording a song, from more to less important, are:

  • The rehearsal level of the song to be recorded
  • The quality of the studio where the recording will take place
  • The producer’s musical ability (the attribute)
  • The producer’s music genre skill level
  • The band members’ musical ability
  • The producer’s recording skill level
  • The producer’s mood
  • The band members’ mood

A recording session may last around 2.5 hours or 3.5 hours; it is not possible to predict how long it will take when it begins. Therefore, you should always leave a 4-hour gap for a recording session.

You can see how successful the recording session was in the production and performance sections after recording. Perfect production and performance is quite a good level. You can see your song’s average recording quality through Artist > Songs. You can confidently use songs with 5* recording quality. You have a chance of making a higher-quality recording in better conditions (higher mood, etc.), so you can delete recordings you are not satisfied with and try your luck again. Recording performance and production above revolutionary, which is one level above perfect, are very rarely achieved. Therefore, wherever you see revolutionary, you can stop trying for something better.
