Radio and Video Charts

Radio and Video Charts — Music Guide

How successful you are in your career is measured by your place in the charts. At the same time, some of these charts also contribute to you beyond achievement points. Radio charts and video charts are updated in the early hours of every Wednesday. The prerequisite for a song to enter these charts is that it has been released on a single. In fact, as the first song of a single.

Entering the radio charts gives your song a daily popularity increase according to your position on the chart. This amount is around 1–2%. Also, when the radio charts update on Wednesdays, they give an increase of around 1–4% in media power according to your position in the rankings. It is easier to enter the radio charts while the record is new. Therefore, you should adjust your song’s popularity and release your video so that you can enter the charts in the single’s first or second week. If you release your video together with the single, having your song at 35–40% before release will let you enter the radio charts in the first week and help you compete for the top in the second week. Radio charts are calculated for each country; in countries containing fewer cities, it is easier to raise your average fame and enter the charts in high positions.

Factors affecting entry into the radio charts:

  • Song popularity
  • Song quality
  • Single quality
  • Video quality
  • City fame
  • How new the single and video are

There is no popularity increase in the video charts as there is in the radio charts, and there are no separate charts for each music genre. Compared to the radio charts, song popularity and city fame are much more important in the video charts. The affecting factors are almost the same.
