Stage Roles
Stage Roles — Music Guide
Regardless of how many people your artist consists of, everyone who will make music must choose 2 stage roles. Both of these roles can be playing an instrument, or one can be playing an instrument and the other dancing. However, there is an important point here: to get full efficiency on stage, everyone’s primary role must be playing an instrument. Below is an example of role choices for a four-person band:
| Primary role | Secondary role |
|---|---|
| Lead Vocals | Dancer |
| Lead Vocals | Electric Guitarist |
| Drummer | Dancer |
| Bass Guitarist | Backing Vocals |
Having the same primary or secondary stage roles does not create a conflict or problem. I will explain how dominant instruments should be used in songs in the song section. What we need to know is that everyone’s first role on stage must be playing an instrument.
