Dominant Instruments
Dominant Instruments — Music Guide
To finish a song, we need to choose at least one dominant instrument. Adding dominant instruments appropriate to the first roles of everyone in the band is necessary and sufficient. For example, adding 2 lead vocals and one electric guitar as dominant instruments to a song in a band whose primary stage roles are Lead Singer/Lead Singer/Electric Guitarist. I also want to give you a tip about how songs with instrument mismatches will be affected. Assuming there are 4 songs of the same quality, their effects from highest to lowest are:
- Songs in which all added instruments match band members’ first stage roles
- Songs in which all added instruments match band members’ first or second stage roles
- One or more of the instruments added to the song are not present among the band members
- One or more of the band members’ instrument roles are missing from the song
Seeds of Inspiration
As for songs with seeds, as you know, a seed of inspiration helps us raise the quality of our song by 1–2 levels by allowing us to give it more updates. It also reduces the song’s originality according to the number of seeds used. In my experiments, I saw that the best result came from using a single seed on a song. The decline in originality shortens the song’s lifespan while also causing some decrease in the score the song receives on stage.
There are 4 valid ways to obtain seeds of inspiration. I will explain them from the least useful to the most useful.
- Gaining inspiration by busking: Unfortunately, this method does not work for friends with high musical ability. You waste time and health.
- Illegal downloading: This will also disappoint friends with high musical ability, but it is more useful than busking.
- Partying until morning: You can get a seed of inspiration by having fun in bars until morning and spending some money. It is especially useful for friends who have the Party Organizing skill (or whatever its name is), because there is no health cost.
- Seeds from fortune-telling: Here we have arrived at the source of seeds. First, we tell our own fortune if we have the skill, or have someone who knows how do it. Not just once, either: until our fortune says, “I am in a good period for writing songs.” Good, our fortune said it would help us, so what should we do?
The realization or validity of the prophecy in our fortune lasts 3 days. During the 3-day period after this text appears in our fortune, there is a chance of receiving a seed at the 24th, 48th, and 72nd hours. Also, for a seed to arrive, it is enough for our priority to be “composing music” at the 24th, 48th, and 72nd hours. In other words, while we are developing skills, having composing music as our priority only at these specific hours after the text appears in our fortune will meet the minimum condition for a seed to arrive; the rest is up to popgod.
