Band Member Counts and Strategies

Band Member Counts and Strategies — Music Guide

Skills have developed, cheeks have become rosy, whoever’s diamond turned red ran to their instrument. After the necessary preparations, you have options such as forming a band or joining an existing band. Here I will examine artists according to their band member counts and leave the decision to you.

Solo: With the strategy “One of us against all of you, let our song enter the radio charts,” perhaps the most difficult career path, where one person takes on every task that must be done in a band. While many people join forces, you will mumble the cities whose media power remains low before falling asleep at night: “Tromso, Milan, Paris, Melbourne…” All skills must be developed by one person, and enough songs for each tour must be obtained either by composing them or through the song market. It has an advantage such as getting more of an increase per update when talking to the media compared to larger bands. There is also a tiny little advantage in the star values received from tricks on stage. So, it is hard.

Duo: With the strategy “Two of us against all of you, let our video enter the video charts”… I know it is not funny. These are bands where skills and tasks are distributed between two people. One person can focus on trick skills, or the two can distribute them between themselves. The greatest advantage of bands with more members is having more band members who can write hit songs (on average you write one a year; I will explain, do not get excited). Therefore, they are always one step ahead when preparing for competitions. Just like solo except there are two people. Two solos.

Trio: All of yo… Things are heating up; as the number of members increases, our strength against all of you also increases. Three people is very nice, easy to organize. You can write many songs and continue your tour without neglecting talking to the media. Apart from being three people, it is not just like solo. It does not resemble it, that is.

Quadruple: As if I made the same joke, move on without laughing. For me, four-person bands are the saturation point both in task distribution and in songwriting. It means, okay, that is enough now. All band members do not have to talk to the media at the same time. Video rehearsals and songwriting can be arranged without difficulty. It does not resemble four solos at all. The amount of increase received when talking to the media has decreased in direct proportion to the number of members. The star values received from tricks are also slightly lower than those of solo artists.

Five is also the upper limit for the number of dominant instruments that can be added to a song. For this reason, bands with more than five members will not get the necessary efficiency from their songs and will experience a serious disadvantage.

To summarize, as the number of band members increases, songwriting capacity increases, the rate of increase per update when talking to the media decreases, and the star values received from stage tricks decrease somewhat.

Important Note: The friendship level between band members also has some effect on concerts.
